Privacy Settings: Visibility of Profile and Activity Posts
I. Profile Visibility Settings
You can select who may see your profile details by logging into ReligionAndPublicLife.org, selecting your profile and Account Settings, and then the Privacy tab. Customize each profile section by indicating what information you want visible to the public, all members, your connections, or only you.
II. Visibility of Activity Posts
You can control the visibility of each post on the activity wall and in groups. You can also control the visibility of the media and documents you post on their wall and in groups by choosing the following visibility settings:
- Public: Your post is visible to all logged-in and logged-out members.
- All Members: Your post is visible only to logged-in members of the site.
- My Connections: Your post is visible only to connected members of the author of the post.
- Only Me: Your post is visible only to the author of the post.
To change the privacy of an existing activity post:
- Select the Activity Privacy button on a post/media/document you have posted.
- Select the preferred privacy option. For example, click the All Members option to display the post to only logged-in members of the site.
Note: when posting in groups, the activity post always inherits the privacy settings of the group itself.
